Popularity of football in America is at an all-time high and 3 Point Productions rang in the New Year with two events that showcase this trend. Working alongside one of our newest clients, Chicago-based sports marketing firm – Intersport, we produced in-stadium game presentation for the Under Armour All-America High School Football Game in St. Petersburg – FL and the Semper Fidelis All American Bowl in Southern California. These high school All-Star games gain national exposure on ESPN2 and Fox Sports 1, featuring a bevy of top recruits committed to college football powerhouses across the nation.
One of our primary goals in developing the game presentation was to educate the fans in attendance on how these players would impact the landscape of college football in the coming years. For the Under Armour game, a high-energy player introduction sequence was designed to match the brand style of the sports apparel company, along with individual player graphics used throughout the game to highlight each player. We carried live player commitments on ESPN2 into the house and accented those elements with the school fight song and an updated player graphic after each player announced their commitment.
At the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, the game presentation was designed with a team first approach that was well suited for the primary game sponsor, the U.S. Marine Corps. We brought elements from the Fox Sports 1 broadcast into the house, including sideline interviews with top ranking USMC personnel, to ensure that the fans in attendance were able to experience many of the things they may have previously missed by not watching at home.
With the profile of these high school All-Star games significantly on the rise, it was rewarding to help Intersport deliver a fan experience that would not only be memorable to fans on the day of the event, but for years to come when they’ll see these same athletes in the collegiate and professional ranks. Guys like Julio Jones, Jadeveon Clowney and Jameis Winston, to name a few.
