The Inaugural 3 Point Productions Golf Tournament benefiting the Extraordinary Futures program was held over the weekend to rave reviews. We raised proceeds for a great cause that is near and dear to our business, put our 3PT spin on a traditional round of golf and left with plenty of memories to share with one another.
The Golf Club at Echo Falls was the setting, providing opportunities to put our stamp on a traditional golf tournament. Some of the highlights of the round included the Live Nation “Happy Gilmore” hole, where players had to putt with a hockey stick similar to Adam Sandler’s character in the 90’s golf comedy. The ScoreBig “Punt and Kick” hole challenged players to channel their inner Steven Hauschka and Jon Ryan before teeing off.
On hole #18, the signature island green, teams chose individual intro songs and the theme song from The Little Mermaid “Under the Sea” was played when a golf ball found the water. The most talked about hole had to be #14, a par 3 which hosted the Brooks Running “Speed Golf”. The winning team finished the hole is an astounding 20 seconds, earning them each brand-new Brooks running shoes.
We had prizes galore including tickets to the 2015 US Open, Mariners, Sounders, Storm Huskies football and baseball, KISS & Def Leppard, Journey & Steve Miller Band, Brooks PR Invitational, Battle in Seattle and Cougar Hardwood Classic. The three most sought after prizes were donated by Goodwin Sports: a Kevin Durant autograph photo, Gary Payton autograph photo (defended by MJ in the ’96 Finals) and Damian Lillard autographed shoes.
Jerome “Jermoeskee” Aparis and Florentino “Flow” Francisco represented Massive Monkees and educated the audience on the mission of Extraordinary Futures. They provided a fantastic overview of the program and showed some of the moves that make them one of the best halftime groups in the NBA.
Special thanks go out to former Husky and Seahawks safety Nesby Glasgow for participating, as well as Donald and Slick Watts for putting a team together. Our sponsors were generous with there support that included the Seattle Storm, Rife Putters, Jones Soda and Seattle Children’s Hospital. The day was a success and we look to grow the event in years to come.
